There has been a lot of buzz about Vamp Silicone dildos.  When there’s a lot of buzz about something that means I have to get my hands on it.  I grabbed a Giorgio Softskin and Talula Softskin from SheVibe to see what all the fuss was about.  I picked out this Giorgio based on the size and the pretty color.  Yes, pretty color options totally make a decision for me sometimes.  Just look at those blue and white swirls.  How could I pass that up?

ABOUT VAMP SILICONE

Vamp Silicone is a woman owned company.  The really cool thing is that no two dildos will be exactly the same.  They hand make each one so some variations will occur from dildo to dildo.  There’s two options available – regular silicone and Softskin silicone.

WHAT IT IS

Giorgio Softskin is a harness compatible dildo.  The base makes it safe for anal or vaginal use.  It’s on the larger end, but if you take a look at some of the sizes Vamp offers it almost seems small.  It doesn’t come with a bullet but does have a bullet hole in the bottom.

PACKAGING

The packaging is a long tube.  It’s clear so Giorgio is visible through it.  There’s a sticker on the front that says “Vamp Silicone.com” with the definition of the word vamp.  The back has some information on Vamp silicone and a little area where “Giorgio” is hand written.  Softskin is also checked off by hand.  It’s not discreet packaging but it makes great storage.

Giorgio is made of silicone.  You can check out the Material Guide for information on the safety and care of silicone.  Remember water based lubes only!

Giorgio Bend and Squish

Giorgio is made of Vamp’s Softskin.  When I first heard of this I thought it was a dual density for some reason.  It’s not.  It’s a softer version of regular silicone.  This gives it the ability to be squished inward some before it starts to push back against you.

The soft silicone allows Giorgio to be bent completely in half.  This doesn’t equate to it being floppy.  If I shake it around it holds its shape well and just sways with the movement.

There’s a medium amount of drag to it.  It causes some resistance if you run your finger along the shaft.  Some water based lube will fix this and makes it feel like there was never any drag at all.

It’s not plushy silicone but it does feel softer than regular silicone does.  It’s not as firm and rigid.  While I like firm when it comes to glass and metals I do seem to have a preference for silicone on the softer side.  I really love the way this Softskin feels.  It has just the right amount of firmness not to be floppy but the right amount of softness to be comfortable.

SIZE

Giorgio is 7.5″ in total length.  Of that, 7″ is insertable.  Near the tip of the head the diameter is 1 3/6″.  Where the head comes outward is the max diameter at 2″.  The circumference at this point is 6″.  The shaft is 1.75″ in diameter and 5 7/8″ in circumference.  The base is 2 5/8″ across.

Giorgio is far from the largest dildo offered by Vamp Silicone.  Nevertheless the diameter isn’t suitable for those who have not experienced penetration before.  Those looking for a stretched feeling may want to look at some of the other options available in the Vamp line.  For those who want a somewhat full feeling, Giorgio can feel that need.

Giorgio in Hand

While I didn’t test it in a harness, the length seems like it would be good for that use.  I always prefer a longer dildo for harness use as it gives a greater range for thrusting.

I normally feel kinda meh about 1.75″ diameter toys.  When I want something larger I’ll grab a 2″ and when I want something smaller I’ll go for 1.5″ or 1 5/8″.  For some reason, the size of this felt perfect.

DESIGN

Giorgio Head

Giorgio is designed in traditional phallic shape without being overly realistic.  The head is defined but not so pronounced that it causes any popping or catching on the pubic bone.

There’s no veining or other texture done on the shaft for added realism.  It’s completely smooth the whole way down.

GIORGIO IN USE

I am so in love with this dildo.  I’ve used it way more than was needed to write this review.  I’ve even used it with my husband and I’m very picky about what I’ll let him use on me.

The silicone on this couldn’t be better.  It’s not a dual density (my favorite type of silicone) but it has that firm yet soft quality that I love.  It gives in just a little when it’s in me.  Not so much that I feel like I’m making it smaller, just enough for an added comfort.

The head is also perfect for me.  I always have trouble with overly defined heads hurting me as I’m sensitive to textures and such.  This one is not too noticeable but just right for my tastes.  I can tell it’s there, but it doesn’t cause me any pain.

Giorgio Bullet Hole

There’s a bullet hole in the base.  It’s deep and wide at the top but regular sized at the end.  This means you can fit a smaller egg shaped bullet into it as well as a regular long bullet.  I usually never use bullets in dildos because I have this thing where I think only vibrators should vibrate, not dildos.  I also won’t use a vibrator without the vibrations for the same reason.  Giorgio has one side thinner where the bullet hole is though which seemed like it would transmit vibrations really well.  I decided if any dildo was worth breaking my rule for, this would be the one.

I was right.  Giorgio carries vibrations beautifully.  I used mine with the We-Vibe Tango as it’s one of the stronger bullet shaped toys I have.  I could feel the vibrations strongest in the area where the silicone was thinner.  The vibrations could still be felt all the way down to the head.  I may be willing to fudge my little rule more often with this particular toy.

RECOMMENDATION

There’s only two circumstances where I wouldn’t recommend this.  The first is if the size is more than you think you can handle.  The second is if the only thing you like is really firm toys.  Other than that, this is a highly recommended buy.  I can’t think of a single thing I don’t like about it.  Right now SheVibe only has it in the blue, so I guess if you’re really opposed to blue toys you’re out of luck on coloring.  The swirled blue is gorgeous though.

Giorgio Softskin is available through SheVibe.  It’s price is $54.99.  It is well worth that and more.  SheVibe has a lot of other dildos from Vamp in different sizes if Giorgio isn’t a good fit for you.
