I don’t remember when exactly I saw the Ophoria Beyond No. 3 and No. 1 for the first time, but as soon as I did I wanted them. My G spot is super picky with what curves will work and what the end needs to be like. The design on these looked just right to please my finicky G spot. I always hate to get my hopes up for a G spot toy since about 1% of them end up working for me. Something about the look of this just made it impossible. It just had to work. SheVibe put the Ophoria Beyond No. 3 on sale recently and I finally decided to test it out.
WHAT IT IS
Beyond No. 3 is a G spot dildo. It has a handle for to give you more control over the toy. This handle could double as a flare if you decided you wanted to use it anally. G spot curves also tend to work well for the P spot, so this could potentially be a good dildo for that as well. It can be used alone or with a partner. It’s got a good amount of flex to it. This makes it good for partner use as it would be more difficult to cause unintentional injury.
PACKAGING
Beyond No. 3 comes in a cardboard box. The front is see through and says “Ophoria Beyond No. 3 G Spot Dildo Flexible.” It has a bubble that says “100% Pure Silicone” in it. The back has little boxes that give specs on the toy, such as that it’s made of 100% pure Japanese silicone, completely flexible, has simple handling for one finger control, and is gently rounded for easy insertion. It has this in multiple languages. It comes with an instruction manual that’s really more of a brochure for other Ophoria products. It tells you how to insert batteries into a vibrator which doesn’t apply to this product.
The packaging is not discreet due to the wording and visibility of the toy. It could be used for temporary storage but wouldn’t be the best for long term.
MATERIAL
Beyond No. 3 is made of silicone. To learn more about the safety and care of silicone, check out the Material Guide. In particular, it’s made with Japanese silicone. I’d love to be able to tell you what the difference is between regular silicone and Japanese silicone is. When I try to Google it, all I get is a bunch of stuff on sex dolls. So apparently Japanese silicone’s primary function is to make sex dolls. And the Beyond No. 3.
One note on the cleaning is that this collects lint and other particles like crazy. I can’t get it from the sink to storage without stuff attaching to it. It’s probably best to clean this both before and after each use.
The silicone is super soft. It’s not quite the softest I’ve ever felt, but it is pretty soft. There’s virtually no drag to it. My hand glides easily across the material. If you’re naturally well lubricated, you may not even need to add lube to insert this.
There’s not any give to the material. If squeezed inward, it pushes back against you. It doesn’t squish in even with a lot of force. While soft to the touch, it’s still firm.
Despite being firm, Beyond No. 3 remains flexible. It can be bent both forward and backward (though less so backward). With an extreme amount of force, I can bend it almost entirely in half. In the photo, you’ll see the amount of bend I get with only a small amount of pressure applied.
There is a seam that runs along the body of the dildo. I was unable to feel this during use, but I’m not usually sensitive to seams.
SIZE
The total length of Beyond No. 3 is 9″. Of this, 5.5″ is insertable. At the top bulb the diameter is 1.75″. The circumference is 5.25″. Right below this the diameter is 1.25″. The circumference at this point is 3.75″. After the ridges end the diameter is 1 3/8″. The circumference is 4.35″. The handle is 2.25″ across.
It looks like a large toy in length just looking at it, but a lot of the length goes to the handle. Also of note is that the diameter at the widest is wider than what I would normally consider “average sized,” but it inserts a lot easier than most 1.75″ toys. It’s rounded out nicely so that it doesn’t really feel as wide as it is. Even on my G spot it doesn’t feel very wide and my G spot it pretty particular when it comes to how wide of a toy it will allow before it won’t respond.
I would perhaps caution on the size if you have no experience with insertion. However if you’ve inserted things at around 1.5″ in diameter or even smaller than that successfully, I don’t think there should be much issue with the head of the Beyond No. 3. I would pay more attention to the size of the shaft than the head.
For my personal tastes, the size was perfect. The head was just the right balance between pinpointing the G spot and getting a wide area. The shaft was neither too large nor too small, but then I’m pretty much okay with any size from 1″-2″ so I guess I’m easy to please in that regard. The length was just the right amount needed and the extra handle that I thought was unnecessary at first proved to be quite useful.
DESIGN
The head is not perfectly rounded. If you look at it from the side it looks almost like it has a mohawk. It’s a circle with a crest down the middle. It also sorta looks like a dragon from some angles. The head comes inward into a quick curve. On the inside of this curve are three small ridges. Other than the ridges the shaft is smooth. It then curves back outward. The end comes in on itself to create the handle, almost like a tail. There’s a small ring that separates the usable portion from the handle.
Anytime anything has texture I’m freaked out. I’m super sensitive to textures and I’m always scared that having them on there will render the toy useless. On Beyond No. 3 I can’t feel the ridges at all. No matter if I thrust slow or fast, they just aren’t noticeable to me. They aren’t really all that pronounced to begin with and they’re located inside the curve.
I quite like the design of the Beyond No. 3. It looks different from most dildos. It looks sexier, more exotic. The curves are mysterious in a way with their dragon-like appearance. I’m still pretty sure if someone found it they’d know it was a dildo, but nevertheless I have left mine out since I got it because I like to look at it.
BEYOND No. 3 IN USE
Let me begin with a statement: My G spot is a royal pain in the ass. It’s as if it doesn’t want to orgasm or something. Only some curves will work. Only with firm pressure. Only with a mid-sized rounded head. I have to work very hard for every G spot orgasm I get. For every 20 or so G spot toys I buy, maybe one will work.
Knowing that information, perhaps you can share in some of my excitement over the Beyond No. 3 actually working for me. Not only working, but working on the first time using it. That pretty much never happens. Oh, and bringing me to said orgasm in under five minutes, another unheard of feat. Seriously, this thing rocks my world. It’s one of those toys I’ll orgasm with and then go “okay…but just one more time” until I pass out from exhaustion.
I wasn’t sure about it when I got it and saw how flexible it was. Normally flexible things don’t get along well with my G spot. It doesn’t feel all that flexible in use. It feels firm. I can feel it bend around some, but it’s not like it’s going all over the place and I can’t get a good amount of pressure.
I also wasn’t sold on the handle. I never use handles (with a few exceptions). They’re normally awkward. This is a one finger handle that should accommodate most finger sizes easily. I ignored it at first and then found my hand naturally reached around and used it as it was just more comfortable to do so. When this happened, I gained a lot better control of the dildo and could suddenly thrust much easier and with more precision. I’m a big fan of the handle on this.
Normally I try to find at least one thing to complain about. I thought it would be the texture, but I can’t even feel it. So I literally have nothing bad to say.
RECOMMENDATION
The problem with G spot toys is that everyone has a different anatomy and will respond differently. It’s impossible for me to say “this will work for everyone” because it simply won’t. Generally, however, if something works for my picky G spot that means it will work for a large percentage of others. The length will allow this to hit both shallow and deep set G spots. The curve works well to hit harder to reach ones, like mine. The size sounds a little scary, but it’s really not hard to insert at all and doesn’t feel large. I would even put this in my “for beginners” list so long as said beginner has had experience with penetration of some type. If ever there was a must have item, this is it.
IN CONCLUSION
Rating: 5/5
Intensity: N/A
Noise: N/A
Pros: Sleek design, Good curve for G spotting, Effective handle, Perfect sized head, Right sized shaft, Super soft silicone
Cons: Attracts lots of lint, May not work for everyone
