In my continuing search for cheap yet effective toys, I ran into the new Bswish Bgood Deluxe.  It’s an update from the older Bgood vibrator that was totally straight and, as I hear it, pretty weak.  Bgood Deluxe brings with it a shaft with a swell in size and a bit more power.

Bgood Deluxe is best suited as an internal vaginal vibrator.  It should not be used anally due to the lack of flared base.  You could use the vibrations externally, but it’s really designed as an internal toy.

I’m on this hunt for toys that I would feel comfortable recommending to sex toy beginners.  In order to qualify, a toy should be affordable, body safe, and actually work (for a range of preferences).  Sounds like it should be easy enough to find, but it’s really not at all.  I’ve come to dread testing these cheaper toys I’m stocking up on.  Just finding one that turns on and stays on is rare, let alone finding one that might actually bring someone to orgasm.  So did Bgood Deluxe pass my beginner friendly test or is it yet another disposable vibrator?  Let’s see!

MATERIAL

Bgood Deluxe is made of silicone and plastic.  Both are considered to be body safe materials.  For cleaning, toy cleaner or soap and water is your best bet.  It’s waterproof, making cleaning easy, but you can’t boil it or put it in a dishwasher.  You can read more about the safety of these materials as well as cleaning information at the Material Guide.

The shaft of the toy is the silicone part while the handle is plastic.  I don’t generally expect much from cheap silicone toys, but the Bgood Deluxe silicone is actually nice.  It’s soft and velvety with zero drag.  It’s not luxury silicone, but it’s good material.  You can push inward on it and feel that it’s soft, but it doesn’t actually give at all.  It’s a firm core wrapped in the soft silicone.  It feels a little more “padded” than, say, a glass or metal toy, but still solid.

Bgood Deluxe is 7.5″ in total length, of which 5″ is insertable.  The diameter at the widest is 1 3/8″.  Near the tip is 1″ while closer to the base is 1 1/8″.

The size is on the smaller side without being too small.  It doesn’t give an overly full feeling and certainly not a stretched one, but it’s big enough to be felt.  It should work for a variety of experience levels.  It won’t work if you’re looking for something to be filling, but that’s not really what this toy is designed for.

DESIGN

Bgood Deluxe differs from the original Bgood in shape.  Where the original Bgood was a traditional straight shape, the Bgood Deluxe has a swell in size.  It seems like a small change, but it’s a small change that makes a big difference.

The tip starts out small and quickly increases in size.  The size increase is only near the tip of the toy and decreases back down in size fairly quickly.  Once it decreases, the rest of the shaft is straight.

I’m personally a big fan of the swell design.  I think it feels a lot better than a perfectly straight shaft.  It keeps my interest, where the straight design bores me.

HOW TO OPERATE IT

There are two buttons located at an angle on the base of the toy.  One is a power button and one is a circle with arrows that I guess means “rotate” or something like that.

To turn it on, press the power button.  When you do this, nothing happens.  Well, the light glows so you know you’ve done something, but it doesn’t begin to vibrate at that point.  To start the vibrations, you press the circle button.  To change the settings, you press the circle button again.  To turn it off, press the power button once more.

The controls are easy to use, even if I thought it was broken at first since the power button didn’t make it vibrate.  I never accidentally hit them in use or changed settings when I didn’t want to.  I like that they’re on an angle so you can actually see them when you have the vibrator inserted.

Bgood Deluxe runs on 2 AAA batteries (not included).  These insert at the base which unscrews.  The batteries are said to last for three hours of use, as per the manual.  I’ve been using this almost every day for a week and the batteries are still going strong.  If you want to maintain the battery life even longer, make sure you take them out when you store it.  Letting them sit unused can still drain them.

VIBRATIONS AND PATTERNS

There are six settings on the Bgood Deluxe.  The first three are constant vibrations and the last three are patterns.

The lowest vibration power is a low 2 intensity.  The next is a low 3 intensity.  The highest setting is a low 4 or possibly high 3 intensity.  I’m going with the low 4 because I feel like it’s stronger than what you’d get in your average battery operated vibrator, but it is on the low end of 4.  If you need very strong vibrations, Bgood Deluxe may not work for you.

Pattern one is a moderate pulse followed by a constant vibration.  Pattern two is a slow, steady pulse.  The final pattern is a moderate pulse.

The vibrations are past the middle point between buzzy and rumbly to the rumbly side.  They aren’t a super rumble, but the rumble can be felt at all power levels.  The vibrations feel like they penetrate the skin and don’t disappear as soon as they make contact.

The vibrations are strongest near the tip and in the swell of the shaft.  They can be felt all the way at the end of the shaft, but to a lesser degree.

The noise level is a little higher than what you’d find in a luxury toy with this power.  It’s not crazy loud or distracting, but it’s not silent or close to being silent either.  Perhaps a little louder than a cell phone on vibrate if you need a comparison point.

PACKAGING

The package is a black box with a woman in a lifted up T-shirt and underwear on the front.  It says “BE GOOD DELUXE” and then “a little good goes a long way with this 6-function, 7″ waterproof silicone massager.  be adventurous.”  Not exactly discreet packaging, but also not a totally naked woman, so I guess that’s nice.

The side has information on the batteries, functions, etc. in multiple languages.  The back has a little blurb about the Bgood Deluxe also in multiple languages.  The other side has a photo of the toy and lists the measurements (at 7″, which mine is not).

Once opened,the Bgood Deluxe is displayed along with the included pouch.  There’s a small instruction manual that details batteries, charging (not applicable to this toy), the controls, cleaning, and standard warnings.  It’s also in multiple languages.

The Bgood Deluxe comes with a pouch for storage.  This is an extra nice inclusion since most cheaper toys give you nothing in the way of storage.  The pouch is a black fuzzy material with drawstrings.

RECOMMENDATION

This is the first cheaper vibrator I really feel confident recommending to a new sex toy user or even as an addition to a collection.  The shape is better than buying a boring straight toy and the vibrations are solid.  They aren’t earth shattering, but they’ll be enough to satisfy many, something I can’t say for lots of the cheaper toys I’ve grabbed along the way to this one.  It offers a range of speeds and patterns, so new users can play around to see what suits them best.  If you already know what you like, some of this may end up unused (as it does for me), but it’s always nice to have options included for different preferences.

You won’t like this if you’re looking for something large in size.  You also may not like this if you need a ton of power.  For those who are new to penetration, the smaller size should work well, even with the swell at the tip.  If you’ve tried 1.25″ toys and found them to be too large, however, you may want to stay away from this.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I went into this toy without any experience with Bswish and burned on cheap toys.  Needless to say, I wasn’t expecting a lot from this toy.  I was pleasantly surprised when this turned out to be good.  First of all, I like the design.  I’m big on swell designs because I like the way you can feel the size increase and decrease when I thrust with them.  Some of them swell at odd times, but with just one swell that wasn’t a problem here.  While the biggest area doesn’t stay big very long, it was still a noticeable during use.  If I just inserted it and left it in I didn’t notice it as much as when I was thrusting.

Secondly, the vibrations don’t suck.  In fact, they’re pretty good.  Not mind blowing amazing, but good.  I do tend to like stronger toys, so I could have done with a bit more power than what was offered, but it was enough that I was able to orgasm.  I could also still notice the vibrations when I used a stronger external toy, something that won’t happen if the internal vibrations are too weak.  The rumbly quality to the vibrations really won me over.  Again, not the most rumbly thing ever, but enough to keep me happy.

For me, even though I’m super impressed by the Bgood Deluxe, I don’t know that it’ll get all that much use.  Yes, I like it, but I have stronger toys that I’m more likely to grab out of the options I have.  I can see this being something I would grab if all my rechargeable toys were dead, but otherwise I’ll probably stick to my more expensive items.  I’m happy to have something battery powered that would actually work as a back up, but it doesn’t quite make the front line.

IN CONCLUSION

I’m gonna be a pain on the rating here and go with 4.5 stars.  I know that’s really non-committal of me and all, but that’s where I feel it falls.  If it had a bit more power, it would be 5 stars for me on personal experience.  However, there’s nothing else not to like here and it’s the first cheaper toy I really like enough to recommend to someone starting out.  It doesn’t glitch, the material is nice, and it actually gives me an orgasm.  It has a variety of settings and easy to use controls.  There’s just not enough problems to justify knocking it down a whole star for power that’s satisfactory.  I’m just power hungry and always want more.
